Colonial History: Colonization of Croatia began in the 4th century BC by the Greeks. They began in Vis, and then worked their way through the country. Roman colonies then spread throughout the country until 9 AD. Hungary had control for a while in the 14th century, before the Ottoman empire in the 15th century.
Major Attractions: Plitvice Lakes (Party, Croatia) – The lakes are known as one of the most beautiful destinations in Europe. There are 16 lakes that are all interlinked and a huge forest that surrounds them. The lakes are known for the colors of the water which vary from azure, green, blue, and gray. There’s also an extremely wide variety of fauna. Some of the animals are rare and can found there.
