Gender statuses and roles: Women have finally gotten to be treated as equal as men. They can vote and can also hold office. This all happened in the 1960’s through the 1970’s. Currently some men get higher level of education than women, but other than that everything is equaling out. Drinks: Rakija is the national drink of Serbia. It is made of fermenting plums the way grapes are fermented to make wine. The most popular brand is Slivovits. Beer is very popular and widely consumed in Serbia.
Dance: Kolo is a very popular dance danced in Serbia. This type of dance is seen at weddings and other social and cultural events. People usually get in a circle, wrap their hands around each other’s waist, and dance in a synchronized order.

Language: Slovene is a language spoken by 2 million people, naturally most of the people are from Slovenia. Slovene is one of the few languages to have preserved the dual grammatical number from Proto-Indo-European
Sport: The most popular team sports in Slovenia are football, basketball, handball, ski jumping, skiing, and tennis and cycling are individual sports that are encouraged as well. Slovenia has been able to send athletes to 11 winter and summer Olympics
