The official language and by far the dominant one is Italian in San Marino. Very few still speak Romangnol as it is dying out.

Colonial History: San Marino was originally established by people looking to escape religious persecution from the Romans. San Marino has been basically independent. When Napoleon invaded Italy, he recognized its independence as well.
Major Attractions: Fortresses (Via Salita alla Rocca, San Marino Città)- there’s three fortresses, Guaita, Cesta, and Montale. They’re all on Mount TItano, from the fortresses you can get views of the Apennines, the coastal plain, Rimini, and the sea as far as the Dalmatian Coast.
