The ethnicities in Southern Europe are largely unaccounted for, and many of them have extremely small or conflicting numbers. There is such a large Italian number mainly due to its proximity to both Spain and Greece because in the data found, the numbers from other countries of Italians and Spaniards are accounted for. Spainiards and Italians have such a high percentage due to the land mass of Italy and Spain as well.
In most countries, people of the Roma ethnic group are called "gypsies" and are stereotyped and segregated against in our region, considered poor and filthy with a penchant for stealing things. A lot of them are the reason why one must be cautious with their variables in Europe. In Spain, Portugal, Greece, Albania, Macedonia, and Italy, those of that ethnicity tend to be themost prominent in that country than in any other and also tend to stay in that country, or those that are immediate neighbors. The Serbs, Bosniaks, Croats, Montenegrins, and Slovenes tend to intermix.
